SUMMARY:Kick-off Meeting of the Erasmus+ OPTBANK Project
DESCRIPTION:The Kick-off Meeting of the OPTBANK (OPTimizing Research & Doctoral Programs in BANKing and Finance in Indonesian Universities) project was held at the Université de Limoges (the coordinating institution) in Limoges\, France on February 5-6\, 2018. It was attended by representatives of all partner institutions from Europe: Bangor University (Bangor\, United Kingdom)\, Universita Degli Studi Roma Tre (Rome\, Italy)\, and Technical University of Crete (Chania\, Greece)\, and from Indonesia: Universitas Sebelas Maret (Surakarta)\, Institut Teknologi Bandung (Bandung)\, Universitas Sriwijaya (Palembang)\, Universitas Syiah Kuala (Darassalam Aceh)\, Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (Jakarta Ciputat) and Universitas Tanjungpura (Pontianak). \n  \nDuring this two-day meeting\, Prof. Amine Tarazi\, the coordinator of the OPTBANK project\, led discussions about the project activities and their implementation\, the responsibilities of each partner institution\, expected results & quality control\, communication & dissemination strategies\, and project management  procedures. Specific tasks\, deadlines and contents of the bilateral/multilateral agreements were also reviewed. This meeting was also a great occasion for all partners to get to know each other better as they organize and prepare for the upcoming activities. \n  \nThe OPTBANK Project\, which is coordinated by the Université de Limoges\, is a three-year project co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. Its main objective is to improve and enhance research capacities of Indonesian universities in banking and finance. Its activities include research trainings & visits in Europe\, summer schools\, workshop to design new modules for PhD programs in Indonesian universities\, introduction of new courses in banking in existing Master & undergraduate programs\, exchange of best practices between European & Indonesian research management staff\, research dissemination to higher education\, banking industry & regulators\, thematic community service program\, final conference\, quality assessment and management. \n \n
